Who is Courtney P??
About
"Courtney P" Foy is a New Orleans original who returned home to be closer to her family and live in the city she loves. During the Covid pandemic, Courtney made a pivot from a career in higher education as an Academic Advisor/Adjunct Professor to the pursuit of her dream job, an On-Air Talent.
Well, Courtney P is proof that dreams do come true! Pretty quickly she became a local microinfluencer through an online game show she created called "Do You kNO-LA." It was through the popularity of that show that she was given the opportunity to co-host The Front Porch on WBOK 1230 AM.

The woman who loves people and social engagement also became a formidable speaking talent, landing several impressive jobs as the official host of Bayou Classic Fan Fest, NOLA Black Wealth Weekend, and delivering keynote addresses for a variety of events.
In 2022, Courtney joined the WWL News Team with responsibilities as a news anchor and news and traffic reporter. She relishes the opportunity to connect with everyday people – to interview
community, business and political leaders – and to create and share stories that really matter.
Courtney is a devoted mother to her beautiful daughter, Koy, and strives to live a life that exemplifies pursuing your dreams.
In 2023, Courtney won the title of Ms Black Louisiana and
went on to become the third runner up in the national Ms Black USA pageant 2024.
Courtney P is an advocate for our community volunteering in many capacities and hosting annual community events like: Cookies and Crafts with Santa, Ms. Black Louisiana, also a partnership with NORD for the annual Spooktacular, garnering her the moniker “The Queen of Scream!”
She believes in Faith over Fear as a mindset for life. Courtney’s life’s motto is “Life is a journey not a destination, so take the scenic
route!”
